Biography

Elton Zarb, an accomplished musician with an international reputation. He has scored for musicals and movies, had chart success in different continents and is twice winner of Junior Eurovision. Elton has produced and remixed a number of tracks for various artists.

His songs have been played across Europe, Australia and the Caribbean, where he has had number one hits. He also scored for movies released by Universal and Eone. His different styles of music include hip-hop, R&B, dance, pop and orchestral. He also turns his hand to TV commercials and radio jingles.

In 2013 Elton composed and produced his first musical “Hidmietna” which was about the story of the Labour class journey. In 2013 he wrote and produced the winning songs of Junior Eurovision 2013 (The Start) and 2015 (Not My Soul) sung by Gaia and Destiny respectively. Elton was responsible for writing and scoring all the music for Junior Eurovision 2014 and 2016 shows  held in Malta, together with the song Diamonds, interpreted by Federica. In 2014 he collaborated with lyricist Matt Muxu Mercieca to compose Warrior, interpreted by the rising star Amber.

Elton owns and runs WickedandLoud an established studio in Malta. Together with the winning teams of the Junior Eurovision 2013 and 2015 have been awarded, for their achievements, by the President of Malta the ‘Midalja għall-Qadi tar-Repubblika’. In 2018 Elton was entrusted with the task to compose and produce the music for the the opening ceremony for Valletta 2018 European Capital City Of Culture.

    Won in Kiev - Ukraine the festival organised by the European Broadcasting Union watched by approx 20 million people. This was the first contest organised by the EBU that was won by Malta, thus giving Malta the right to host the show the year after. The song was "The Start" was composed by myself and lyrics by Matt Muxu Mercieca and was sung by Gaia Cauchi.

    The song "Warrior" sung by Amber, and was composed by myself and Lyrics by Matt Muxu Mercieca.. Then Warrior represented Malte in the Eurovision Song Contest held in Vienna - Austria.

    Won in Sofia - Bulgaria the festival organised by the European Broadcasting Union watched by approx 20 million people. This was the second time that it was won by Malta, thus giving Malta the right to host the show the year after for the second time..The song "Not My Soul" was composed by myself and lyrics by Matt Muxu Mercieca and was sung by Destiny.
